FAQ

Q: How much are tickets?
A: $20 prior to cut off day (typically a week before the race) then the price will increase to $30.

Q: Will the event sell out?
A: No, we are fortunate enough to have a very large venue making it difficult to sell out of General Admission tickets. However, there are a limited amount of Infield and Front Row tailgating spots. But we have never had an issue with selling out of General Admission tickets.

Q: Are grills allowed?
A: Yes. But no charcoal grills.

Q: Are dogs allowed?
A: Yes if they are leashed at all times and on their best behavior. 

Q: Will there be food?
A: Yes. We have vendors set up in C the Infield, as well as the Paddock Shoppes. We also have the Post & Paddock and the Turf Club tents that require reservations for an additional fee.

Q: Will I get my same parking space as last year?
A:  Yes, as long as you respond to the invitation sent out by the Cup office before each race. If you reserved a parking space the prior year, you will be offered that space again the next year. If you fail to respond to the invitation, the space will be given away to another patron.

Q: What happens if it rains?
A: The races will run rain or shine. We always hope for good weather, but we strongly suggest packing a rain jacket just in case!

Q: Can I get a refund?
A: No, your payment will be submitted as a donation to the Carolina Cup Racing Association.

Q: How do I get a tent?
A: You can reserve a tent to be placed on your spot by selecting the option on our order screen. Reserving a tent is an additional fee, but well worth it to show up to your parking space with a tent already for you.

Q: What time should I get there?
A: Gates open at 9:00am, people typically start lining up an hour before. Races do not start until 12:30pm, so there is plenty of time to arrive, park, unpack, and shop before the horses run.
